2 lbs of Country Style Ribs
dashes of salt and pepper
1/4 cup of Honey
1/4 cup of Dark Molasses
1 bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Cut ribs into bite size pieces and/or debone them. Rinse ribs thoroughly. I often find little bits of bone if I don't rinse them. Place ribs in a big pot and cover with enough water to have inch above the ribs. Dash in the salt and pepper. Bring to a boil and simmer/boil for about 30 mins to an hour.

...meanwhile....

In a bowl, mix the honey, molasses, and BBQ sauce. Feel free to embellish! With our BBQ sauce we used 2 1/2 bottles of Honey Smoke and Brown Sugar. MMmm...

Once ribs are cooked through, drain them. Place in a 8x11 sized baking dish or other suitable sized dish. Brush generous amounts of the sauce on the ribs. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30mins. Remove foil, and brush more sauce on. Do this as much as you like to coat the ribs with as much sauce as you want. Wait about 5-10 minutes per coating.

These ribs should come out super, super tender and yummy!

I wasn't sure how to really explain what it was.... here is a definition from AllRecipes. Also, looking further into it. A guess suitable substitutions would be Sorghum or Treacle. I should've put in dark molasses on the recipe. (that's the type used) Sorry bout that!

Encyclopedia
molasses

[ muh-LAS-sihz ] During the refining of sugar cane and sugar beets, the juice squeezed from these plants is boiled to a syrupy mixture from which sugar crystals are extracted. The remaining brownish-black liquid is molasses. Light molasses comes from the first boiling of the sugar syrup and is lighter in both flavor and color. It's often used as a pancake and waffle syrup. Dark molasses comes from a second boiling and is darker, thicker and less sweet than light molasses. It's generally used as a flavoring in American classics such as GINGERBREAD, SHOOFLY PIE, INDIAN PUDDING and BOSTON BAKED BEANS. Blackstrap molasses comes from the third boiling and is what amounts to the dregs of the barrel. It's very thick, dark and somewhat bitter. Though it's popular with health-food followers, it's more commonly used as a cattle food. Contrary to what many believe, blackstrap is not a nutritional panacea. In truth, it's only fractionally richer than the other types of molasses in iron, calcium and phosphorus and many of its minerals are not assimilable. SORGHUM molasses is the syrup produced from the cereal grain SORGHUM. Whether or not molasses is sulphured or unsulphured depends on whether sulphur was used in the processing. In general, unsulphured molasses is lighter and has a cleaner sugar-cane flavor. Light and dark molasses are available in supermarkets; blackstrap is more readily found in health-food stores. See also TREACLE.

It's kind-of like a REALLY thick syrup. It takes, like 30 seconds to pour a teaspoon. And, it's VERY sweet, and is sometimes used as a sugar substitue. Very Happy

Do you think it would cost a lot to mail a bottle of molasses?

Someone I knew in Canada mailed me a bottle of super super super hot sauce of which I only need a drop or two in my chili to make it so hot your mouth burns. That was a cool present. Smile
